The ethnographic exhibition “COBANiJA” takes you through the story of the indigenous Krk sheep – a symbol of life, survival, and identity in Baška and on the island of Krk. Through photographs, traditional objects, and interpretation, it reveals the rich heritage of sheep farming that has fed, clothed, and shaped this region for centuries.
The exhibition is presented by the Sinjali Association, with the concept by Sanja Dorčić and photography by Sanjin Ilić, Berislav Horvatić & Denis Lešić who together offer an intimate view of the relationship between people and nature.
A visit to this ethnographic collection is not just a return to the past – it is an opportunity to better understand the roots of the local community, the values that shaped it, and the heritage that still lives on today through flavours, customs, and everyday life.
The exhibition opens at the Zvonimir Gallery on Friday, May 15, at 7 PM.
