On the plateaus above the Baška Valley, you can find the most beautiful examples of dry-stone sheepfolds shaped like stone flowers- mrgari. Since ancient times, they have served shepherds as gathering points for sheep on the expansive rocky pastures.
Learn the principles and application of traditional dry-stone wall construction under the expert guidance of mentors from the “4 grada Dragodid” association.
If you love spending time in nature, fresh air, cultural heritage, and community work, this workshop is made for you!
Traditionally, as part of the Black Sheep Festival, two free dry-stone walling workshops and mrgar restoration actions are organized (Saturday and Sunday, May 16th and 17th).
