Walking tour around the Baška Valley
This year’s shepherds’ hike takes you along the stunning Baška coastline, rich with hidden beaches and rugged cliffs. Across 8 km of mostly flat yet rocky terrain, you’ll experience the beauty of the karst landscape and bays offering a welcome rest for tired feet.
After gathering in front of the Heritage Hotel Forza in the center of Baška, the hike begins at 10:00 am, heading along the Palada promenade toward Camp Bunculuka. From there, the trail continues from bay to bay, revealing breathtaking views along the way.
The hike ends in Vela luka, one of the most beautiful bays on the Island. To experience it in its full glory, this year we have arranged a panoramic boat ride back to Baška. Feel the sun, wind, and salt on your skin, and once recharged, continue the good times at the “Black Sheep” Festival in Baška.
The trail is of moderate difficulty and suitable for anyone capable of walking up to 10 km over more demanding rocky terrain. Participants are advised to bring proper hiking gear (sturdy hiking shoes, layered clothing, sun protection, a hat, and walking poles), some food, and enough water.
Route: Baška – Bunculuka Bay – Jablanovo Bay – Malo Storišće – Vrženica – Petrićevo Bay – Pod Golubinac Bay – Dubna Bay – Konjska Bay – Vela luka – Baška
